First year of momhood captured in 8 comics
I was so happy to find these comics below, because they reassured me that I wasnt the only mom to have nightmares about squashing baby. I would actually wake up every night and hand my boyfriend a bundle of blankets and order him to put the baby back in her crib. After a few weeks of this, my boyfriend wouldn’t even try to convince me that I was handing him a pillow or pile of blankets, and just pretended to put “her” back in her crib. Anyone else have dreams like that?
Here are some more of these moments that all moms might have gone through in their first year of momhood!
Losing all sense of awkwardness about whipping out a boob (or two)
in whatever place you find yourself at the time baby starts to cry #breastisbest.
The victory of being able to wrestle yourself into your pre-pregnancy skinny jeans
(no matter how big the muffin top is).
Wanting to rip off anyone’s head for telling you to “sleep when the baby sleeps”.
Leaking through your nursing pads during an important presentation
(Or even better: forgetting to wear nursing pads altogether on your first day back at work.)
Having developed an immaculate sixth sense of “baby is up to no good and might be in danger”.
Suddenly realizing you’ve been rocking a milk carton for at least 5 mins on your first shopping trip without baby.
Wearing pantyhose that go all the way up to your eyeballs.
